Praying for and about love, friends, is never outdated. Contrary to popular and modern opinions, love is not a mere feeling. It is the greatest virtue anyone can desire or possess in life. Since God Himself is love, everything we seek or hope to understand about love can only be truly found in Him.

The coincidences of Love

The story of the first Love in the Bible (the relationship of Adam and Eve was God ordained), it established the precedent for love beginnings. The God Who Himself is Love, does not just go by the name because it sounds such a good name (not denying it is), the coincidence of Love is proven in all the scriptures. Let’s consider more of it, the first fruit the spirit of God delivers into a man’s life when fully surrendered is Love, accompanied by joy, peace, goodness, faithfulness, long suffering, gentleness, and self-control. Furthermore, wherever Love is established or celebrated (childbirth, weddings etc.), the person of God and the presence of God is present for the celebration and wants to add more wine when asked and when surrendered to Him as seen at the wedding in Cana, Galilee (John 2:4). Another coincidence was seen in the relationship of Joseph and Mary represented in the ministration of the Angels to them (Matthew 1).

Praying for Love

This is the practice of wise people; they understand that it is not luck or just a natural feeling to desire someone to love them as they are. Praying about love is to pray for Love to be established both in them and in someone who is designed to love them like the love of God towards them.

The prayer of Love is one of the most important prayers and so it can be prayed in the following ways and as God leads you to pray

1. To Love Him (God) with all your heart and all your minds and all your soul. This love must be strong and powerful in you so that you begin to desire only what pleases God. If it does not please God, you must desist from it as it depreciates your value. God must take His rightful place in your life. If you deceive yourself and other people in this area, trust me there will be a reaping moment.

Galatians 6:7 AMP Do not be deceived; God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be
ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for
whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.

2. pray for the Love of God to be established in your heart towards all men and women. You must love all people deeply and genuinely. Let God help you to overcome shaming others, looking down on others, overcome pride, overcome your personal issues and other baggage that you must overcome personally.
   

Your love must be genuine towards all people.

Romans 12:9-10 AMP Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing—without guile and
hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on
tightly to what is good. [10] Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as
members of one family], give preference to one another in honor.

3. Pray for the will of God to be done, and to reveal His will for you concerning marriage. That He will bless you indeed with His godly Son or Daughter that He has prepared for you from the beginning of the world. Tell Jesus, that He is invited to direct you in the way to go.

4. Pray against confusion and deception along the way. There are deceptive schemes strategically placed in path of a believer (by the devil and the flesh).

• pray that your heart will not be deceived

• Pray that you will not be deceived by your own wants and desires.

• pray that your desires fall in line with divine plans and wisdom for you.

• Pray that your love life will fall in to divine coincidence of the Love of God.

• pray for promptness of the fulfillment of the promise of God towards you in marriage and that it will not delay in the name of Jesus.

You should pray these prayers sincerely, genuinely and continuously in two ways.

• The first is to pray them for you and

• the other dimension is to intentionally pray them for your partner to be, whom you ONLY expect God to reveal and bring to you as you pray.

These prayers will solidify your Love life and open you up to the true Love, your God, who is the author and finisher of your faith. He will in turn give you your heart desire, a partner, that is surrendered, nested and grounded in the Love of God.
